Donkey Love revolves around the doomed relationship of Francis Lawrence Ogelthorpe Pendleton IV, who goes by F. L., and the willowy Clover Rivers-Volksvoshler-Janklowitz, who goes by Clover Rivers-Volksvoshler-Janklowitz. Their taboo romance not only destroys the globe’s delicate geopolitical balance, but it also ruins the environment. The same can be said for the book’s other case study: the illicit love affair between blue-blooded Tabby Oxnard Fullington and Kelp Smith, a mongrel of various breeds.

The book tackles such awkward topics as disapproving parents, spiritual incompatibility, and the steps to take if you inadvertently have premarital relations and believe you are doomed to be fed to the wolves of hell.
