Tantrums are a normal part of most children's development, especially when toddlers start to discover their independence around the age of two - it's not called the "terrible twos" for nothing! Tantrums and meltdowns are however not limited to toddlers, and older children can also show challenging behaviour.

If you have ever

shouted at your child and regretted it afterwards

got angry because your child is behaving unreasonably or

been embarrassed by a public tantrum

then this booklet supports you in reducing the stress your children's behaviour causes you and enables you to respond calmly to your child.

It includes:

    Why do children have tantrums?

3 ways to respond to a tantrum.

How to stay calm, clear and connected when responding to your child.

An Onlooker in France 1917-1919 - Kindle Non-Fiction

An Onlooker in France 1917-1919
by William Orpen

This book is essential to gaining an insight into Orpen's experiences of World War I and how this impacted upon the course of his artistic career. Written in Orpen's own words, this official war artist comes across as polite and gentlemanly, as indeed were his representations of the battlefield (if one compares them with the visceral quality of German artists' work). But it is very interesting to use this book in conjunction with knowledge of the restrictions imposed upon the artist by the British government, his war letters, and the fact that official war artists were expected to clean up the content of their pictures in order to keep morale up at home. Orpen's feeling for his comrades comes across very strongly and it is evident that had he had his way, his pictures would have exposed the slaughter of the war far more directly.
